The January 2, 2008 meeting was held at the Whitney Point Middle School cafeteria at 7:30 PM. 28 members were in attendance. President, Mike Reynolds made introductions of the Officers and Board of Directors. The Secretary and Treasurer's reports were both read and accepted. Old Business: Dave Dishaw presented camera kits to all groomer operators to be stored on each groomer. Included in each kit are Pre and Post Safety Checklists, a note pad, a signing handbook, log sheets and a pen. Mike Reynolds brought to the clubs attention that is has been reported that snowmobiles have been seen riding on the slope of the dike between the laundry mat and the churches (behind the Hess Station Rt 11 Whitney Point). We as a club need to police this activity and stop anyone that is doing this. They have also been removing our signs. Please take pictures, get identifications numbers, anything you can in order to stop these few from ruining the riding privileges for all !! New Business: Dana Mutz, Dana's Embroidery from Upper Front Street, Binghamton was one of guests this evening presenting some promotional materials to the club for possible purchase. Joe Davis, from Allstate Insurance again joined us a guest to invite members to allow Allstate to provide them with their insurance needs. $5.00 will be given to all those who request a quote ! Thank you to them both for their interest in our club and the needs of our members. Dave Dishaw presented a very informative 23 minute video on how to survive falling through the ice. Please note: All members riding from Johnson City to East Main Rd. - This is a "proposed" trail only. The club does not have landowner permission. Please obey all signs and respect the landowners. Do not ride on this trail. We are all encouraged to communicate and cooperate with area landowners to help insure that our trails will remain open for us to ride. A donation was proposed to the Chris Reardon scholarship fund from our club for $100.00. All members voted and passed unanimously. Trail reports: All areas report a need for snow! Muddy trails. All groomers and groomer operators are ready to go. Mike Blance is selling NYSSA Raffle tickets for $5.00 each. Main drawing is in April 2008.
